Accelerating Local Impact pilot started in 2018 with one goal : design an approach to tackle maternal & neonatal health differently. Focusing on Saint-Louis in Senegal, a multidisciplinary team started by an analysis of women needs in Saint-Louis, and studied the stakeholders network and local influence variables. Using human-centered approaches, they targeted a better impact by putting women at the center of the approach and to break silos by considering all of the health determinants impact on their experience.
Their analysis led to the creation of the "Accelerate Impact Model (AIM)" and identified crucial needs for women in rural, peri-urban and rural areas.
As of November 2019, their goal is to transform the identified needs in solutions and projects for and on the field in co-creation with local-stakeholders.
