About the organisation
Basic details : We empower all motherhood stakeholders, from grassroots groups to advocacy and large organisations, to accelerate impact and avoid duplication. We believe that investing in motherhood gives the best chance to our future generations.
Mission : Motherhood Collective Impact is a not-for-profit partnership that aims to address the most challenging issues in maternal health by taking a novel, co-impact and systems-based approach. We believe that the struggle of our society and institutions to provide appropriate care to women in the pregnancy, childbirth and fertility well-being continuum, despite exciting advances in healthcare and digital technology, is due to inefficient systems; we largely work in silos and do not take advantage of the rich expertise, resources and ideas that others could offer. The Motherhood Collective Impact program aims to accelerate co-impact in maternal health by bringing all actors together within an interconnected ecosystem, facilitating collaboration, creating and matching solutions with resources to bring these solutions to life more quickly.
Providing a pre-competitive and neutral environment, Motherhood Collective Impact seeks to have balanced representation of stakeholders to ensure transparency, inclusiveness, and credibility. Stakeholders include civil society, industry, subject matter experts, healthcare professionals, and other professional organizations to ensure diversity of perspectives and to create synergies.
Vision : Our vision is a world where all women have equitable access to high quality maternal care before, during and after the pregnancy experience. We believe that investing in motherhood means investing in our future.
Structure : The Motherhood Collective Impact Program is governed by a board, the Advisory Committee, which sets in place policies, procedures, values and long-term planning to meet the mission of Break Dengue. The Board represents members and informs the major strategic decisions for the organization. Day-to-day operational decision-making is delegated to the Executive Team, who, under the supervision of the Board, runs the organization. The Executive Team manages the technical, administrative and financial functions, as well as programs to support members in their adoption of the framework. The day-to-day activities of MCIP are agreed by members and the Executive Team and are delivered in collaboration with The Synergist.
