We are a volunteer-run international non-profit organization that innovates healthcare services for indigenous peoples in the Amazon Rainforest by empowering them to challenge inequality. Our acronym stands for Knowledge/Savoir/Saber in our four la??nguages of work (English, Portuguese, Fre??nch and Spanish). The fundamental pillar of our actions rests on the belief that through Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) true empowerment and change will happen in the fight to eradicate inequalities. e-KSS works hand-in-hand with remote communities to build capacity and strengthen capabilities to see their human rights respected and implemented as a reality for this and next generations. Along with our partner organizations, we work on the most basic of human rights - the right to proper health. We focus on safe motherhood as major component in community empowerment to enable them to continue protecting an environment pivotal for cultural preservation and that of the planet.
