Association of actions Peace and Community Development "APADEC" was created in Kalingi, Itombwe, on February 25, 2006 by rural peasants women, men and young people who went out in the war of 1996 and who reflected on peace and sustainable development in the country and in the fight against neonatal mortality, human rights violations, farmers and pastoralists. This war had caused the inter-ethnic conflict between the different communities in the middle and high plateaus of Fizi / Minembwe and Itombwe and countless damage both material and human; destruction of the forest ecosystem specifically deforestation of the Itombwe forest and its surroundings. APADEC is officially registered under N ° Just.112 / S-K / 3542/2012. GLOBAL OBJECTIVE Contribute to the reinforcement of a peaceful inter and intra-community coexistence in DR.Congo in general and in the medium and high plateaux of Fizi and Mwenga / Itombwe in particular and to encourage an active and responsible participation of the local communities of sustainable development of their environment. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES ? Fight against the HIV pandemic and sexually transmitted diseases; ? Promote inter and intra-community exchanges and dialogues in the middle and highlands of Fizi and Mwenga / Itombwe; ? Promote the health of mothers and children; ? Help the local community identify and seek solutions to their problems; ? To supervise peasant youth in rural areas and create extra-agricultural and other jobs; ? Fight against the destruction of the environment (the Itombwe forest and its surroundings); ? Fight against poverty and hunger (increase in agricultural and livestock production); ? Fight against the HIV pandemic and sexually transmitted diseases; ? Promote respect for human rights and gender.
